Seat padding
I've only done short blasts since finishing my build but have noticed my a#rse getting numb after about 45 minutes.
I see there's a German company on ebay who'll re-do your seat but has anyone any recommendations for a UK company who can re-uphoster my seat to compensate for my lack of natural padding? :)

Aladinsne has one fitted to his falco. I managed to get a ride on his bike and the seat is very forgiving.

Try Tony Archer in Huddersfield. Quality of his work is good and the extra padding makes a big difference. Just a thought - do you still have the standard shock fitted? I found that changing the OE Sachs for a replacement made a huge difference to comfort. And I'm cursed with a thinly-padded arse, as well.
Thanks- I googled Sargent seats but it's a bit more than I'd like to pay. There's a company near me in South Shields who refurbish bike seats so I've mailed them about a gel insert and will see what comes back.
Yes, still got the standard shock fitted but might have to start looking for a cheapish replacement.
I have noticed that the ride is quite hard and that the bike seems to be bouncing about more than it should. I haven't had a lot of riding time on it to be honest but the original shock is now 15 years old and probably due for a change.
Time to start looking through old posts about suspension...

I believe Blinkey has an Ohlins unit for sale, the post is titled breaking falco.
I did a quick search for seat refurbishers and found somewhere that would do riders gel seat for £150, dont know if that is good value or not.

Cheers FB, I looked at the thread and it seems to be sold. This is budget-driven so it looks like I've got three options:
White shock sachs from gen 1 Mille and get it re-built
Yellow spring shock and linkages from later Mille/ Tuono
See what comes-up aftermarket used.
I'm not in a hurry so will just keep my eyes open

The white spring unit fits with stock linkages, all you need to do is check that the valve clears the subframe, if not a gentle pruning of about 2mm off the valve does the job, (grinder or dremel and a steady hand).
I have a white spring on mine at the mo, waiting for an Ohlins and linkage parts from another forum member then my white spring will be up for grabs.
The white spring is a vast improvement on the stock unit,
2nd hand Ohlins go for £200 upwards, bear in mind you will need to factor in linkage parts and possibly a re spring/rebuild,maybe bearings and seals so the cost could be over £400

Thanks Blinkey- I'm chasing an Ohlins from a gen 1 RSVR but if it falls through I'll give you a shout.

I've sent these a mail but had nothing back but nice to know they turn out a good job. I'll just give them a ring when I get home (away at work at the minute). They also advertise vapour blasting so might be able to get my LC casings done at the same time.
