You have been ripped off. In Jocko land we get em fer nowt

Yeh but that's the only way they can get you lot on a Bike Safe course. That is unless they reduced it to 35p!
OOPS sorry that's still a bit steep!

I was inspired to do a BikeSafe course after reading about it in one of the emap mags. So, got on the internet and found the local Thames Valley Police course is run from our nearest town of sunny Milton Keynes. The web site gave an email address of the police chappy who runs it and said 'fill in the form below'.
There was no form below, but I sent off an email to ask for details and a form in the post. Within a couple of days, I received an email back saying he had retired a couple of years ago and didn't run Bike Safe courses any more. Whats more, he didn't think that Bike Safe was a focus of TVP and perhaps I should contact IAM for a course!!!
Any other recommendations from you guys???
Cheers.

Hi JF
There's one run by the Met which I think goes out from the Ace Cafe. I did the one in Croydon a couple of years and it was well worth it. Still using the techniques I picked up

Did the Bikesafe and IAM a couple of years ago.
Bikesafe is OK, but only a brief intro really.
Learnt loads with the IAM - they can be a bit up their own arse (although not all of them), but it definately taught me a lot more than Bikesafe as it is a lot more time on the road.
As long as you dont believe the IAM way is the only way its well worth doing IMO.
