I have just got back from the Hospital
I have to have an ECG heart monitor strapped to me for 24 hours. I have not had it on 2 hours yet and already it is irritating the hell out of me
Even worse, I cannot take a shower with it on, and I am not allowed to remove it. Roll on 1.30 tomorrow afternoon, I know what my first job will be

It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

I found it was best to do something that would occupy my mind so I didn't think about it - reading, internet, jugsaw puzzle - whatever does it for you!
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

It was annoying, but I coped, and surprisingly I also slept OK last night as well
First job after it came off this afternoon though was straight into the shower. That was my treat of the day.
Anyway, all gone back now, so jobs a goodun

Yes I was surprised that I slept ok! Best thing about it for me was it confirmed what I said, that my BP wasn't too high, so they lowered the dose of Beta blocker - consultant reckoned it was high, but I suffer from 'white coat syndrome' - BP shoots up as soon as I know it's going to be checked. The monitor gives them a much better picture so it's worth the hassle.

I had the same diagnosis after wearing a BP monitor for a day, they said it tended towards low if anything. I'd already told them that being piddled about with got on my nerves.

You want to try it for a whole week! I forgot how many baby wipe packets I got through, deffo not environmentally friendly

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
