Are you sure it wasn't the hat that was the target as that might produce a different list of suspects?
So as you have already had the pain of scum ruinung your day might I suggest we move on to discussing potential replacements?

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I won't replace it as I don't really need a commuter now that I'm within walking distance of work. Might be tempted by something old and strange though.
Where ever I lay my hat.....

Well the insurance made me an offer on Thursday and it wasn't far off what I expected to be honest but I've asked them to try again just on principle.Dusty wrote:I'm rather late to the party but I should think after the lenthy debate on here about what commuting bike you should buy, there will be a few of us gutted on your behalf.
I hope you get the little scrotes, sorry, insurance sorted out OK.
As to the scrotes it seems there had been a bunch of decent, hardworking itinerant travelling folk pitched up in the area, didn't find out until they'd buggered off again.
I now have a strange urge to buy a CBF1000.
Where ever I lay my hat.....
Good, the insurance company will not be in any hurry to give money away.
As for your suspected perpetrators, they are more into motocrossers for personal toys and any other thievery targets anything with a fast turn over such as chainsaws, generators, anything with a scrap value, equestrian items, working/fighting dogs, horses, caravans ( not a full and comprehensive list )
I suspect your thieves stole this for a joyride or to order, this would seem to exhibit a little more intelligence than that displayed by my 'cousins' from across the water
