Holiday

#1 Post by D-Rider » Wed Feb 03, 2016 12:06 pm

Just to let you know that I'm off on a looooooooooong holiday from tomorrow (Thursday 4th Feb). and don't return until the 7th Mar.

I've heard the Interwebbery thing stretches far and wide (I guess they've got one of those curly cables to sort that out) so I shouldn't be out of touch all of the time.

We're "doing" New Zealand - with a couple of days in Singapore on the way out and a couple in Sydney on the way home - so that should be a lot of fun :smt003

I guess while I'm gone there will be a party in the bar anyway as I'll be leaving the forum keys with the other admins (they have them anyway) ... although the thought of leaving them unsupervised with the keys to the forum is far less concerning than leaving my sons unsupervised with the keys to the house .....

.... so as there is bound to be a party going on, we might as well get started.

Byee :smt006

Have fun

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hope you have a good time.

My daughter flew out to New Zealand on the 8th Jan, also stopping off at Singapore but she is stopping 12 months or more.

She said Singapore was fantastic but don't even think about dropping litter or spitting.

Have a great time, take loads of photos, post them up on here and make us envious. The only time I went to Singapore I spent way too much money in Sim Lim Tower on photographic and audio goodies... :smt003

I don't care if you lick windows,
Take the special bus
Or occasionally pee on yourself.
You hang in there sunshine, you're special!

Have a great trip. Will you be seeing the North or South island of NZ?

Because the south island is a motorcycle rider's nirvana. I was stuck driving a people-mover through all these incredible roads... :smt009 :smt010 :smt012
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

We've done Singapore and are now in Auckland with Joy's relatives. We're doing the North Island until the middle of next week and then we head to the south Island. Sadly not on a bike - Joy and the various suitcases would not fit on a bike .... and she would not be persuaded anyway. Singapore was good and the first day in NZ too. Hoping to quickly shake off the jet lag and get fully into action but still done quite a bit today around Auckland.

Hope you're having a great time, I stayed in the Raffles for 2 nights on my way to NZ for a friends wedding there in 1978, as Viking says the roads down south are great, but so are the people. I'd love to go back.

I know I posted it but it when wrong somewhere and wound up in Bobbi's thread on insurance WTH!
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
