I like the sound of that !Aladinsaneuk wrote:I rate Windows 10 - it's almost Mac like
I was chatting today with my workmate, he uses an ancient Mac book, so old he needs to use an external hard drive to do any serious work, he loves the way the Apple thing works but simply cant justify the cost of replacing it with its modern counterpart

Modern ones by comparison with their alternatives aren't that much better IMO. If MS went down the route of controlling their whole supply and accessories chain they would be much better than they are it just depends ehose copying who at what time
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I have an M$ surface pro with win 10 on it - very very good hybrid
I am not surprised that win 10 was called 10 - or X in Roman numerals- Mac OS is officially Mac OS X....
The stuff that Windows 10 has taken from OS X is a huge step forward for MS - it is very tight and does reduce the amount of security holes
I am also certain that MS Edge could be a very good browser - needs better extension support but at least it is secure - unlike IE

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Tbh I generally just use safari on my macs and edge on xb1 and my surface - and for the average user I think they are fine. If you want more then Firefox is probably the answer, though I do prefer a browser that is tight to the OS
While in the past I have played with a lot of browsers like tor, I don't have the need now ;)

That's why I like it - if a security hole is found, it's patched asap
Until recently ms were notorious for finding holes that were left wide open - with an optional patch for those that wanted it
We have children in the house so would rather ensure their safety
(And yes what they do is very heavily screened..... Especially the teenager!)
