Tank prop

#1 Post by Falcomille » Sun Jun 03, 2007 6:45 pm

Anyone let me know what shape/size a Falco tank prop is? Mine hasn't got one and I'm making use of a large hammer (doesn't fit under the seat).

Hi mate...its about 310 mm long (12.5 inches) and 5mm diameter. It has a two 'hooks' (offset either end) and one hook has a rubberised coating. If you like I will take a picture and email you it.

Cheers

Both ends on mine are rubberised. (yep. I was lucky and picked one up second-hand on ebay)

Mind you, the picture of the genuine ones you can buy from AFI only show one rubberised end: :smt017
Tank Prop

They also sell the clips to stow the prop (I've not got those though):

7 iron :smt003

Actually the carbon shaft of a 7 iron. Lent on the club as I was waiting for someone in front to clear the green and snapped the head off.

Not one to throw anything away it lay in the garage until one day I needed to get at the airbox of the Falco and thought to myself - that looks like it will do the job. Taped up the broken head end to prevent any possible scratching and it fits a treat.

Not ideal for taking with you but still useful in the garage :smt023
