So these chips are a worthy investment then? The bike currently has an SL chip in, despite putting the fuel cans on years ago.
I'll google up the forza chips i think :)

Fitting the Gabro chip was one of the very best things I've done to the bike. Transformed it.
Other than ditching the MEZ3 tyres (than most current owners will never have suffered and will not be able to comprehend how awful they made the bike), the Gabro chip, rear shock and lightweight wheels have made the biggest transformations.
The sidestand swap of course, is mandatory for when you are stopped.

I believe that some can have multiple maps installed otherwise I would guess it is dependent on being able to contact the seller. Which is where gabro and FA Would win out. Unless you are ok doing it yourself in which case you possibly would just write your own anyway
I don't think anyone is "unhappy" with any of them ultimately IMHO it comes down to what suits your riding style and set up the best. Along with ease of getting hold of them. Possibly where FA may win out.
But just my opinion. There is debate about what each one essentially does, by this I don't mean delving into the detail of the tables but the overall general characteristic. For example some are claimed to make it run lean some are claimed to run rich. Others are claimed to essentially just advance the throttle shut off
A simpler answer would be you won't go far wrong with Gabro or FA if you communicate your plans to them or wait till the airbox is ordered
But just my 2c worth I preferred the FA for commuting the Gabro for more focussed riding and the Rossi for smiles big poop of power delivery
Trung the SBK on the assumption that it is not going to be massively different with streetfighter than Akra open cans and have had the Evo in a standard setup for a while which I really liked but not sure of the origin or availability
Ps
I had the fuel cans on when I tried them

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Hi Dale,
Both the Gabro and the Forza Aprilia chip can be baked with two maps. I've got the Gabro on the blue bike and the FA on the red bike. Both are excellent (although I've not ridden them back to back) and both come highly recommended. On mine I've got Map 1 (the restricted one as standard) set up for the bike 'as is', and asked for the second map to be tweaked for the addition of an open airbox should I ever decide to get one.
This means that the restriction wire (that gets snipped to derestrict) needs to be reconnected for Map 1 (current situation on both my bikes). Both chips improve and smooth out the bottom end, give a nice boost to the midrange, and enhance the top end. Both chips make it a lot easier to go faster, and both require some mental recalibration once you've fitted them. The bike is smoother everywhere and faster everywhere. They also seem to take off faster!

Both the Forza and Gabro eproms offer vast improvements on starting, tickover, fuelling ect, far smoother performance.
The Gabro does seem to pack a little more punch than the Forza, I've had both in single map format, both sold as suitable for open air/exhaust and I cant fault either.
Im running the Forza as my ecu got cooked and the Gabro got fried as well.
IIRC the Forza was a fair bit cheaper but do your research.
Both are very good
