It won't happen if they are done up right (many sets of clipons don't have this fixing) - and especially if you've done this:

I wonder how many cafe racer conversions are out there riding around the world that simply rely on the clip on clamping to the fork leg ?
Think this practice has been used since the 50's

I drilled through to allow that bolt to be fitted

newer style switchgear may foul the fairing

need to rotate on/off switch to stop full lock killing engine


Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I've already got the bars above like that, but it's not enough for me. I don't really like the look of the Tuono approach, so I fancy a clip on with more reach. Last time I reviewed this I thought of looking for a clip on from another bike. Would mean changing lines if the bars move any higher though.

I had a set of Tommaselli adjustable clip-ons on the Guzzi for 10 years. Didn't go anywhere, very nice bars.

Didn't think old Guzzis were that unreliable.
