Hi all, just saying hello
My name is Rick and I'm a long time owner of an RSV Mille with all the mods and turned into RSVR. I have been riding since age 9 and did a fair few years of motoX. I have always had a bike on the road since age16, now 40 something. Loved LC's and have all the scars to prove it!! Had a massive accident as a young man and was lucky to live. Lots of osteoarthritis now and waiting for a new knee and a back operation, all related to that big off years ago! I have had lots of sports bikes, but the mille has been one of my favorites. Love V-twins!
I am a member of a few Aprilia forums. Looking forwards to a bit of banter etc with you all

Yes, but no recent ones showing latest mods! However, by the end of next week, I shall have loads as I am getting it/her ready for the coming season and fitting the renegade high level twin can set up. I have Ohlins suspension, Oz wheels, Rsvr fairings, all the carbon and a bit more, including carbon bellypan. CRG levers, collector mod, forza chip, Hooked carbon open airbox... Prob forgot some. The list keeps growing. Future plans are the 1060 big bore, but might do gen 2 heads and 57mm throttle bodies this winter first. I have never kept a bike so long. This was a standard Rsv mille to start with. It would have been cheaper to sell it and buy an Rsvr... But wheres the fun in that Hehehe! The belly pan plans (just got it s/h!)are to remove a bit of paint, back to carbon gel coat, then a few clear lacquer coats and stick the 2001 diablo (black/hot red) belly pan decals on. Pics will follow soon... Do I add them here or in another section? And do I use photobucket and copy and paste Url?

Cuts, bruises, aches, pains, replacement body parts ..... think you'll fit in fine .... with Mart, Flatlander, Howard and others.
Guess your biking side will appeal to those that can still manage the stairs.

Mille to R conversion is novel on this site. Most here started with a Falco. I Liked my LC too but but it seems like I survived the experience a little better than yourself. Mind you I don't know what your parents were thinking letting you ride one of those when you were nine...

How do skipper no point mentioning the credit card taking a hammering then!
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Welcome
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hi all, thanks for the welcome! As I have no recent photo's, I shall do a "before and after". So I'll post a couple of before mods pics, then at the end of next week I'll post up some up to date and with the Renegade High level cans I'm fitting this week and the Ohlins, Oz's carbon etc. I didn't realize that there are so many Aprilia dudes on here!!
