I will be in the UK this May.
Hi all,
I'm going to be in the UK (Sheffield, to be precise) for two weeks in mid-May.
Is anyone interested in a catch up for a pint or two?
Cheers,
V

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

How does Friday the 23rd work for people?
I can't do a week earlier because it's the Marches meet, and I can't go any later because I'm leaving on the 25th. I also have lots of family and friends to catch up with, so that will take most of my time.
I'll be staying just north of Hillsborough, so if any locals can point out a good pub, that's probably the place to meet.

It's a Bank Holiday weekend so the roads will be rammed .... but I doubt that much of the traffic will be going to Sheffield !Viking wrote:How does Friday the 23rd work for people?

And we'll be recovering from jetlag in Tennessee, so that's out for me, as well. I can do between 4th and 18th May, if that's any good, but the weekend of 16/17th May is Marches meet. Why does the calendar always get so crowded in April/May?
If we can't make a date that most others can manage, I'm sure I can catch the tram to Hillsborough and have a jar or three with Viking on a school night...

I arrive in Sheffield on May 8th, and depart on the 21st.
Aside from a family reunion on the 9th, I'm pretty much free any time in between then.
Given the Marches meet is the 15th through 17th, how about Wednesday the 13th?
I leave Oz on April 1st (yes, that's next week) so I'll PM my contact details to Mango, D-Rider and Firestarter. Hopefully I'll have useful Internet access whilst I'm away.

Hey all,
Made it to the UK at last. Family reunion was a blast, as the didn't know I was coming. Queue lots of surprised people when I walked in the door.
Now, can someone recommend a good pub reasonably close to Hillsborough that a numpty like me would be able to find without too much trouble?
Cheers,
