.... like when you are in the departure lounge.
Bar's open. We are off to Lanzarote for a week. Weather isn't looking brilliant but it will be so good to get away.
Cheers

have fun
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Whereabouts you going Dave . I've just had a fortnight in Costa Teguise. It was cloudy every day but still a nice break. The weather looked to be turning though as we came home. Have been there for the last 4 years at this time and its been the worst weather we've had. If you aven't changed any money yet I'd advise waiting until you get there, got 1.31 to the pound. Have a great time

Going to Hotel Volcan at Playa Blanca. We've been before, it's a quite town and the hotel is by the new Rubicon Marina. Nice bars and eating places. Fingers crossed for some warm weather.

Hm, Wareham today sunny! 8%
Lanzarote is partly cloudy... - but I'd take the 19% !!

Had a funny experience near playa blanca. Drove to papagayo beaches and got there early. We were first ones there but it wasn't really sunbathing weather. Found a sheltered spot near some rocks on the side of the beach and layed out in t shirt and shorts ( not hot enough to get down to budgie smugglers)
Within an hour we were surrounded by fat naked Germans
It wasn't a nudist beach as the rest of the beach had clothed people on , but for some reason we'd attracted them all around us
Needless to say we had a great game of beach volley ball with them which kept us warm!
So I guess you'll be heading to papagayo shortly after your arrival

We got back from Playa Blanca 3 1/2 weeks ago. Weather was quite windy and a bit cooler than expected, but it was a nice 2 week break, but came back to snow!
Have a great, relaxing holiday!

Just got back and yes it was cool and windy. In fact on the night we arrived it was blowing a bloody gale and raining. Woke to the sound of a chain saw and a guy up a palm tree taking it down about 3ft at a time cos the wind had split it!
Caught some sun later in the week and the last day was lovely and calm and hot.
Good to be away for a while.

Glad you enjoyed it Dave!
Welcome back to the green and pleasant land, with a few less black volcanic landscapes.
