For fantastic stop overs look at les plus beaux villages or something like that society of the prettiest villages in france
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

When are you heading down? A bunch of mates and myself are planning a road trip to France in June...

I've been to Cahors quite a few times in the past - lovely old city and the surrounding area has some tremendous roads. I knew I remembered Saint Antonin Noble Val from somewhere...

Can I join in?
I am too travelling through france in late June. Going down to Morzine in the Alps but sadly will be in the car. Perhaps I could be the back up vehicle and carry spares etc! :smt001
I don't care if you lick windows,
Take the special bus
Or occasionally pee on yourself.
You hang in there sunshine, you're special!

They also used to have a bike event late summer in Cahors if you do go on a pay road go on the bit through Limoges its mental in a good way especially at rush hour it might not be on your way but saying it brought back memories of the best day on a bike ...,

4 of my friends are in Morzine right now, snowboarding. We'll be heading down close to the Med near Beziers. Haven't finalised dates yet, but should know fairly soon. Back-up crew sounds ace!

Well.. That seems to be all the bases covered.. Not wanting to point out the obvious, but a Passport would also come in very handy. :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

All the best - that's a bit early for us, although me and missus will be heading to the house in mid April (in the van) to continue the seemingly endless renovation work...

A different issue - the French take their regulations a bit more seriously / less casually than we do. There might well be regulations about the import and disposal of human remains / ashes. There are such regulations in the UK but unless you are very unlucky, there is no one to check on them. France might be different.
