My goodness all these replies
I've just spoken to the insurance company, I can either have a company near the airport come and take it away for appraisal, or I need to get 2 quotes. Personally I want 2 quotes, but I can't take the bike to them.
So what I need is 2 repairers who know Aprilia's within lets say 15 miles to give me a price.
Anyone recommend somebody?

well... bike in shrewsbury i assume?
and the more i think on this, the more it seems that you may get lucky with the damage being mainly cosmetic?
radiator is no biggie, upper fairing frame i believe can be fettled straight and a new set of yokes should not be too hard to find via ebay?
just a positive thought....

a quick google shows http://www.inmoto.com/ and http://www.apriliabikes.co.uk/ - they close enough for you?
When I crashed last year, I was sure that the bi l would be a grand or so. It took me 4 weeks NOT LOOKING at the bike at all to get a second (true) assessment of damage. And it took like 300 quid to get it back on the road in Falco Fighter reincarnation (not including paint).
TBH I like it more that way anyway. But it makes me want to cry when I recall what I felt on that day and afterwards.

Check if the legs are not just twisted in the yokes (and yokes missaligned with eachother) first though. You'll need to loosen all the bolts (thats including upper yoke 14mm aluminium cap on the top) and try to straighten them. Unload the weight from the front forks first!!! Suspend it from the ceiling, use Abba stand or something. I bet it's not the best moment now, is it? :(
