2005 Falco
Hi, I'm thinking of selling my Falco.
It's a 2005/05 in Olympic Bronze, with comprehensive service history, over 11 months' tax and a brand new MOT. Mileage is about 33k.
Over and above the standard Falco spec, it has the following:
- Forks stripped in early 2013 and rebuilt with slightly heavier oil and slightly smaller air gap, lowers refurbished
- Bespoke Ohlins remote reservoir rear shock (not a cheapo old RSV-R one)
- K & N filter
- Aprilia Performance airbox lid kit, plus standard
- GPR cans (small dent in one), plus standard
- Forza chip to suit airbox/filter/exhausts, plus standard
- NWS rear hugger
- Skidmarx bellypan (fitted 2013)
- Good chain & sprockets (-1T front fitted 2013), plus standard
- Scottoiler
- Braided clutch & brake hoses
- Dunlop Sportsmart tyres, about half to two-thirds worn
Not long after I got it, in addition to refurbishing the wheels and giving it a thorough clean and polish, it also got new caliper bolts and front spindle nut as some of the heads were looking slightly furry. This year, other than just ride and polish it, I replaced a load more bolts with new OEM Aprilia ones, just to keep it looking good. This includes the front and rear disc bolts, front and rear footrest hanger bolts, spindle pinch bolts, rear spindle nut, grab rail bolts.
I have used it for a few long road trips and 4 track days (Cadwell, 2 x Snett, Anglesey), and it has been flipping great. It's quick, sounds lovely, looks great and - unlike many Aprilias - tends to actually start when you press the starter button.
It hasn't seen rain in the two years I've owned it and lives in a dry garage on an Optimate. Ready to be ridden wherever you choose.
V5 in my name, all manuals, spare keys, sheaf of receipts, pillion seat as well as pod. Bike is in Thame, Oxon and I can be contacted on 07779091913 or at taylornd@btinternet.com
IMMACULATE.

Someone else will say it if I don't take the after market parts off and sell as standard ... Oh and if you do can you pm me first ! Dibs on the good stuff ... Ohlins ... belly pan ... Airbox kit etc
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Heck I've got a Mille and a standard shock sitting on the shelf so as DR says you could swap out and still have an upgrade ;)

I took it for a new MOT on Saturday morning. It hadn't been used for about a month, the alarm was armed, and it hadn't been plugged into an Optimate.
Despite this, it started pretty much immediately. And it's a Falco! It also passed its MOT with no advisories.
After a very enjoyable, albeit brief*, ride to the MOT place, I'm not 100% sure I want to sell it any more. Will have to see whether someone wants to buy it first, guess.
*was in pisspot helmet, no leathers, gloves or boots...
