Oil pressure swith leak.

#1 Post by ginge » Sun Aug 03, 2014 11:09 pm

Have a small leak coming from here. Going to remove and put some loctite in, question is, will doing this mean a large amount of oil dropping out?

Thanks for any help.

Not if you're quick apparently.

IIRC someone else has replaced this and by whipping the old one out and wedging a finger over the hole then whacking the other one in quicksmart they didn't lose much.

Might need an extra pair of hands to clean and locktite the switch before replacing while you reenact the Dutch boy with his finger in the dyke fable.

Thanks. I'm gonna purchase a new one so can have that all ready with loctite to go in. Will get a spare pair of hands to help and check the oil after in case I have to top up. :smt006
