The other side of policing

#1 Post by Aladinsaneuk » Fri Jul 11, 2014 12:49 pm

Today I had the experience of road rage

Basically a large flat bed lorry came up a one way street the wrong way - and as I could not reverse back on to the round about I stopped and raised my hands to show "what do you want me to do?"

The driver wound down his window and said something - so I wound down my window

Next thing I know he is out of the cab, reaching into my car and punching me

A passer by interceded while his partner called the police

Several other witnesses came forward at this time

The police responded promptly

The officers were professional, courteous and organised

I am currently having a coffee break while giving a statement

I have no injury of note btw - but am a little shocked

Hats off to norfolk police

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Slacking Lorry Driver. He should know that unless you are being clubbed over the head with a big piece of wood it doesn't count.

Hope you're OK

I have heard stories, where the first time you speak to people they want to punch you...

Glad you've come away without any notable injury, and with the police on scene hopefully he'll get more than a warning

rather worryingly, and now its done, it has brought back a lot of memories of the rather nasty incident i suffered a few years ago. I fear that could be an issue

P.S.
Then again, may have to consider a claim against the lorry driver on both counts!??

Hope you manage to do the redneck fucker in a big bad legal way, the tosser needs to learn that his issues (probably penis size related) are not the fault of the innocent unsuspecting public.
Hope you can make the fucker pay the price and think twice, will get you a beer in the bar

Good grief; I hope you're not injured. What a moron. You're lucky you weren't on the bike as he'd probably just have run over the top of you. With luck, he'll get the book thrown at him.

Hang on let's be fair to the lorry driver here he can't be the only one that wants to punch you!!;)
That said hopefully he"ll soon be introduced to someone called Bubba who asks for the soap !
Glad you're ok
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

..... and what's the point in asking that?

Where she is and where she thinks she is are generally two very widely separated places ............

Bloody scary experience!

Wonder if the lorry driver had been drinking?

I reckon you should certainly sue him!

Glad you're relatively unscathed, but about the other thing - if it proves to be a problem, get some CBT or similar, soonest. Yes I know you're a nurse and you know all about medical stuff but that doesn't mean your friends don't need to tell you!

Then you can do your theory test.

I guess at your age, Pete, you'll then go straight for the direct access test.
