If you do get a GoPro, and you're feeling very brave, you can hack it to do all manner of extra things.

Do note - you will void your warrantee by doing that.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Finally got round to sorting a bracket out (modified GoPro one) and got out for a little blat. I think the quality is OK, only issue seemed to be a "pulsing" across the image, but I think that's more a function of the mounting than of the camera (strapped to the crash bungs).

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Did it get compressed by YouTube during the upload or is that the resolution it records at?

But I am taller than him
And seriously - Hanna was impressed when she saw the original footage
I will try and find some time to tidy / compress it myself
For 80 quid as opposed to 250 - it's a valid option

Absolutely. 1/3rd the price but much more than 1/3rd the quality.
At least your wife/gf/partner showed interest, mine just asked "And what's the point of that?"
I've filmed a couple of rides now but think I need some decent editing software to actually make an interesting video.

Tbh Microsoft moviemaker is a good free starting point
I am lucky as I use a mac so have a few built in apps
Beyond that iirc adobe do ? Video Elements? I played with it a few years back and found it quite good
I would start with moviemaker though if you are on windoze
