As far as I understand it the forza chip richness up the mixture throughout the rev range, hence why when I ran the bike woke a old air filter and baffled cans it ran rich and I got 35mpg, now I'm running no baffles and a fresh serviced bike it's quite happy!
However I was strongly advised to get a power commander in order to set up my fueling effectively by the dyno guy!
I'm going to get a PC3 anyway as I'll need it for what ever route I follow but I think as an exercise in further understanding the setup of these engines I'm going to obtain another engine then use that to swap the heads etc as their fairly cheap!

Easier still to swop the engine

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Yellowperil wrote:The stud issue ain't to bad providing the diameters of the pipes are the same, I can get new flanges made as I'd like to keep the twin cans, I've read that the 2nd gen need a cam sensor installing on the front head to run on the 1st gen bikes, also are the falco Throttle bodies large enough or will bigger ones need sourcing?
The Gen2 bikes came with 57mm TBs - they can be picked up easy enough but you will need a couple of wiring harness adapters as the connectors to the injectors are different.

You may well be right about the cam sensor - I've not looked into it. I'm just confident the heads will fit as when I was chatting with Griff about his big bore conversions he was saying it's good to fit Factory heads due to them having bigger valves.

And Pete .... No it's not easier to swap a Gen 2 engine in there than to change the heads.

sorry - I meant the later mille large valve engine, NOT the gen2 mille engine....

(I think that makes sense!)
