My Falco Sounds Like Jimmy Saville

#1 Post by stoney » Fri Apr 04, 2014 1:08 pm

Jingle jangle and all that.

I've yet to catch it fiddling with kids, but my steed seems to have a bolt loose or something as it makes a bloody annoying rattle sound around 4-6k revs.

I'm guessing (hoping) it's just a loose bolt somewhere as the noise disappeared after a service but seems to have returned a few months later. Sounds like it's coming from somewhere between the ignition barrel and the front wheel, but I could be wrong.

Any ideas for a good place to start? Or suggestions if you think it's more likely to be something else?

Possible medal for anyone who identifies the problem.

I had a similar rattle and it was the side stand bolt.

Sounds like you might need someone to fix it for you!

Any suggestions?
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Does it scream when ringing its neck? Thats what jimmy saville should have sounded like!
