Dunno if I'm allowed in the bar .........

#1 Post by D-Rider » Wed Mar 26, 2014 5:38 pm

No driving for me ..... No riding for me :smt009 ...... No operating machinery for me ........

Woke up on Monday morning and felt like the room was spinning round one way and the bed the other.
It's true that I'd had a bottle of 2.8% beer 36 hours beforehand .... though I think it's possible that may not be the cause.

Decided I'd better bunk off work (after having tried to go in but having driven up the road had realised it wasn't safe to continue)
Dizziness persisted all day.
Felt a bit better yesterday but still dizzy - less so by the evening so decided I'd go back to work today.

Woke up feeling worse than expected but went to work .... and wished I hadn't. Felt really crap. Couldn't even get up from my desk to make myself a drink all morning.
Joy (my better half) got me a doctor's appointment this afternoon.

Seems as though I'm now not allowed to do all of those things at the beginning of the post until it settles down (until the weekend at the earliest) and have to have a week off work to rest (which is really inconvenient as a lot of key things have to be done in that period).

Anyway I've got tablets to take so not sure if I'm allowed in the bar but the rest of you can have a jar or two while you come in and sympathise with my enforced riding ban (not that I'd want to ride until I'm feeling a bit more steady)

Cheers Andy - I'll have a pint of what you've had....

Seriously, hope whatever is doing that to you makes itself scarce very quickly...

All those things that you are not allowed to do will be there for you when your health is better.
Take your time and get yourself sorted Andy. :smt002

What they said - remember no one's indispensible!

Hope you feel better soon.

Get well soon

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Let me know if I can help with anything mate. Only round the corner. :smt002
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Only the welder for the hydraulic line on the digger :smt002
(Yes folks I know this sounds "well dodgy" but it looks as though the line next to the one that has split has been done and has clearly held up for a long time)

Tis true I'm not allowed to use the digger myself at the moment but I can get Joe going.

Hope you get it sorted quickly Andy, in the meantime, just take things steady and have a good rest for a few days. Work can wait!
I used to be under constant pressure at work, often working long hours then bringing work home. I have been so much better and much more relaxed since I retired, even though I have been really busy at times.
The big difference being the level off pressure being much lower, and when it does occasionally get worse, (like whilst working with the extension), I was much more relaxed and able to cope with it.
