Try changing to 3 to slow the steering a tad

Most of us use that as a start point

Drider has 4 showing and keef has 5....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I must admit I'm a bit confused.

First you seemed to be saying you were going wide in corners and then you were saying you think you need to slow the steering down a bit.

I've probably not quite grasped what you are trying to say but if it is running wide, you probably need to speed the steering up a bit.

Oh, the other thing that occurs to me if it isn't feeling right is whether you've checked your tyre pressures recently.

As for number of rings showing on the forks ..... well that's only half the story and doesn't mean that much unless you are also considering rear ride-height.

Anyway, don't worry - I'm sure you'll soon get it dialled-in and will quickly appreciate what an improvement it is.

Thanks
TBH I haven't rode in ages so pretty rusty, going wide was the 1st reel corner i negotiated.Once settled I was turning in to quickly,I cannot believe the difference in rear ride height, feels a lot racier.
Looking forward to getting out again which has sadly been lacking since my Scottish incident(if you guys remember)

I'm sure you'll get used to it / tweak it to fit your style.

Yes I certainly remember. A very sad day indeed.

i am going to sound naive explaining this , but the front silver rings are displaying 4 and the larger black rings are displaying 3

What affect will knocking the silver rings to 3 have to the bike

Not 100% sure what you are trying to describe (maybe post a pic).

But I think you probably have showa forks and that the "black rings" are probably showing the front ride height (forks through the yokes) and the "silver rings" are probably the threads on the preload adjusters.

If I'm right you will be cranking up the preload which will reduce the sag. You need to set the sag to the value you are aiming for by adjusting the preload.

Have a read through Griff's suspension set up guide - that will explain it to you.
