Even a yellow one?
I've already made it clear we welcome them .....

.... and I've already made it clear where we expect them to park and their owners to camp.

Put me down as a maybe, won't know until a few weeks before.

Maybe 2014 will be the first year I actually make one of these!

We're intending to be there; it's going to be a busy June, as we're going for a long weekend to Oporto the weekend before, and I'm off to Fort William/John o'Groats with some mates on the bike the week after. All we need now is to organise a heatwave for the last two weeks of June...

Stopping over or flying visit?

Like to stop over this time, at least for one night, possibly two. I'm nervous about saying 'yes we're gonna do this' at this point in the year, but the intention is there.

Yeah - I'm another hopeful (as in very very hopeful) but this far away I've no idea whether work will require me to be in a different country at that time - or what continent that might be on.

Hi all

Could be up for this meet. Had the green light from the boss so looking good.

Do I have to book the campsite directly ?

Regards

You don't have to book no. The campsite is already booked through me.
Just pay for your pitch over the weekend :smt002

What's the general consensus on tents? We've been thinking about getting a family tent for holidays, but seems a bit overkill for a bike weekend away. Is there likely to be enough room for like a 6-man dome tent, or should I be looking at a little pop-up instead?

Probably something that's pretty waterproof, given previous forum outings...

A six man tent is a bit over kill but that's up to you. Generally a two man tent is best for your bike kit and yourself to fit :smt003

Think about what fits on the bike.....

I picked up a gelert 4 man tent from tesco last year for 20 quid

I think it had been wrongly priced but - I have found it ideal. It's not a high quality tent despite the name but for occasional use it's great, I thought I was buying a 3 man btw ;)

For a bike I reckon that you need a two or three man tent for one person.... At least that way you can get your leathers etc inside the tent and still be comfortable

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
