I.C.E. phone number
Just been looking at a Farcebook post re this.
The idea was conceived by a paramedic. almost everyone carries a mobile phone these days, do you have an In Case of Emergency ( ICE ) number listed in your phone ????
Very simple idea, also sensible. As bike pilots our risk is on the high factor so maybe a good idea to list details as ' White with 2 sugars please' ect.
Whilst I hope none of us ever need this, tis a good idea

I've got 2 I.c.e. numbers on my lock screen on the mobile. Cause my phone has a lock then they wouldn't be able to go further than that screen. Should probably carry an I.c.e card or something in my wallet.

Not knocking the idea at all but I do wonder what proportion of phones survive an accident that requires use of the ICE contact?
Maybe a more mechanically robust solution would be better - perhaps with the ICE number on the phone as backup?

alternatively
maybe not everyone rides a motor bike who is involved in an accident....
I know I know, old badger pubes is a real man and rides all year round, BUT
None bikers have accidents every day....
(And yes - all should do this - the original idea was dreamt up by one of the local paramedics whom i happen to know - one of his finer moments i think!)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
Are these "None Bikers" a bit like non bikers or are they more like their phonetic counterparts

Anyway, on this forum I naively assumed that we might primarily be talking about this ICE thingy in relation to those of us that ride bikes .......

It doesn't appear to be that great a challenge.Dusty wrote:
