Something seems "wrong" an Irish guy going to the bar and ordering a "Spitfire"....I think you'll be having a wee nip of Middleton Rare, no ice nor water and you'll like it! :p

Sorry for the delay .... had to have the paramedics out to my mum last night .... so that filled in the time from about 1am to 3am - then this morning taking her to the walk-in-centre for follow up.

Also this morning Joy's mum was rushed in to A&E (her dad is also recovering with 14 stitches in his head from a fall last week)

Add to that our elderly friend from 2 doors down had the paramedics come for him this morning

Having to rescue my son whose car had broken down last night was relatively minor .....

Crap weather too.

Hope 2014 gets a bit better soon or I'll be aiming to skip it and move on to 2015

Happy New Year !

Sorry to bring this thread down - I really do hope everyone has a very good 2014.

That said, on top of my list of things above, my cousin just phoned and it seems my aunt (the seemingly fittest of all of my relatives of that generation) has pancreatic cancer and probably has only a couple of months left.
We've been waiting for news since she went into hospital the weekend before Christmas ... but this wasn't the news we were hoping for.

Ye gods Andy - if your famil didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck at all!
