Paris-Dakar Documentry

Did anyone catch this last night on BBC4, it was fascinating and horrific at the same time.

The guy who brought it to life was killed after a few try's and then big car factory's got involved and nearly killed the race itself and now it is not even on the right continent.

I had to admire the riders and all others who tried to complete this race.
Opinion was divided amongst the riders that there were two races, pre GPS and post GPS, many of them stating that you couldn't get lost post GPS and so it was just a balls out drag race between big companies..
Speed Blue SL 1000 Falco
Harley Davidson....the most efficient way to turn petrol into noise without the embarrassing by-product of horsepower..

Missed that, pity - one of our club members has never walked quite as well since he had a big off on the Paris-Dakar!
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
