That is some scarey shit.
My mate used to rant about Aspartame, but I thought she was bonkers as all she came up with was horror stories.

That article does over-dramatise it somewhat but yes, it's bad shit. This is nothing new, I did my research years ago and started reading labels - this stuff is in all sorts of things where you wouldn't expect it to be! I avoid anything wioth Aspartame, nutrasweet, etc etc.

Nothing solicitors can do about it because there's no actual proof - but there's so much anecdotal evidence, it can't all be wrong. The USA food people say there's nothing wrong with it - but then some of their sciaentists also work for companies like Monsanto who produce the stuff so my personal belief is that their findings are suspect.

It's really a case of doing the research and making your own decision.

As far as I know, it doesn't actually cause the conditions mentioned in the article, but has been known to cause symptoms similar to those conditions.
