Saying Hello
Hello all.
Just signed up here after joining the apriliaforum.com and being groomed to join you lot too.
Based near Leicester in England, been riding for 20+ years.
Just bought a Falco on an '04 with 20k miles and standard apart from scorpion cans, crash bungs and a box.
Been looking for something to replace the TRX850 (had 6 of them!) and the Falco seems the logical choice.
So far so good, impressed with the handling, suspenders and grunt. Just need some dry roads. And the price? frankly ridiculous for a bike of this quality!!
Anyhoo, I will make sure I 'search' before asking stupid questions, I know how it works, been a Mod on the TRX850.com forum for years.
So, may the piss-taking begin. C'mon then, who's first, give it your best shot.....
Dave.

These are not the Droids you're looking for...

'Ello.....
I'm guessing you're a Star Wars fan?
I won't mention the last shit that were supposed to complete the story...anywho.
I almost nought a TRX instead of the Falco but the Falco came along first.
Welcome to the site, it's a great resource with plenty of knowledgable friendly folk.
Oh and get that shock changed!

Side stand
Before anything else
Welcome
And you will see a somewhat short admin wandering - he is NOT an ewok, but a hobbit
And near Leicester - it's Hinkley isn't it.....
And riding for 20 plus years - probably under 50.....
And planning on using the search facility - Andy will get all emotional.... You even have pulled (if you do pull his beard, remember to pluck the grey ones out - makes him feel younger)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Welcome to the asylum. Try not to put your hands too far through the bars as you'll see your credit rating deteriorate rapidly!
TRX eh.. A friend of mine had one of those. Yellow/Black speed blocks.. May have seen it around on eBay and the like. It's passed through a few owners since he had it. Used to burn more oil than petrol.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Nice to have you with us Dave.
Enjoy the bike, (sure you will).
First mod is the side stand, and with 20k miles on the original blue spring shock, this should follow fairly quickly.
Then just get used to the bike, anything else can follow as you get to know it better.
If you ride in winter, I would also go for a rear hugger, (to keep winter crap and salt off the new shock).
Ditto a Skidmarx belly pan to keep crap off the engine.
