Yes I see what you mean that's what I was meaning by the "sump" next to the trumpets, it wouldn't work with the filter, there would be nothing for it to sit on. I think apart from a copy renegade etc the open airbox mod is the only real option.

i think hobbit found a way to make it flat

setting the bike on fire to melt it was a tad extreme but......

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Those are the mille/tuono air boots. They will fit the airbox fine but not such a good fit to the other intake tubes. You really need the equivalent Falco parts - which I fitted but found no benefit other than excess noise

The best thing I've seen is the MWR filter. But it's pricey.

Do you still have that K&N spare D-R?
Buy a K@N of ebay and modify your air box. I will be doing my own write up in the next couple of weeks when another air box arrives.

Did you finish this project Blinkey?

I think there was one on the AF1 forum .... but you might need to search back a fair few years

Here's my MWR HE kit fitted through the stages image slide show if that helps anybody - I really rate mine, in spite of the cost...
