They've heard I'm coming ......

#1 Post by D-Rider » Tue Oct 01, 2013 11:31 pm

They've heard I'm coming ...... to America on Thursday and it seems that I've got them so scared that they've shut the place!

..... which is a bit of a shame given that we were wanting to see some of the National Parks, the Smithsonian Museum and a number of other places that are closed!

I'm speaking at a conference in San Diego next week but holidaying this weekend in New York (get to spend my birthday there :smt001 ) and then the week after the conference, holidaying in California and Washington.

I'm hoping they resolve this political squabble quickly so we can see some of the things we hoped to .... especially having spent the cost of an early Falco on travel insurance for my wife (and my, was that hard to come by - even with its 2 grand excess!)

Oh well - it's a break and I'm sure we'll have a good time - even if it's not doing some of the things we had hoped to do.

And whatever, it's those ordinary people that have been laid off from their jobs that I feel most sorry for.

I am so sorry mate

I left a surprisingly polite message on your insulting phone yesterday about it

in NY at least you will be able to walk and shop.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Probably a wise precaution on the part of the USA; I recall that the other year your trip to Japan resulted in an earthquake.

I hope you and your wife have a really great holiday, (and a happy birthday, which is it this time?), and the travelling doesn't get too much.
ENJOY!

Hope you have a great time Andy - you deserve a bit of light relief after the shitty few months you've had.
