Mounting running lights

Showed the pics to my MOT tester this afternoon - he said he couldn't see a problem with this, as long as the lights are switched. VOSA & Dept. for Transport weren't very helpful, though. So, this project is a goer. Lamps are sourced, fabricator friend has a couple of stainless offcuts put by.

Are you now proposing to hang these from the mounting brackets?

Did some one hang them up? Maybe that's where they have gone....
