Showed the pics to my MOT tester this afternoon - he said he couldn't see a problem with this, as long as the lights are switched. VOSA & Dept. for Transport weren't very helpful, though. So, this project is a goer. Lamps are sourced, fabricator friend has a couple of stainless offcuts put by.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
