Don't stress it, I've just fitted the rears no problem. If all it needs is an electronic relay to get all four going, this is just a plug-in job so easy

Going back a few years, but I could never get my LED indys to work either.
Changed relays etc but nada.
Then I tried em with the rear OE indys still attached and voila! They flash at normal OE speeds!
I tucked the OE indys under the seat hump right up into the back of the tail light cluster to hide em! :)
Hope that helps! :smt006

That's why doing the diode mod at the dash and using an electronic relay is the best fix.

Means you can pretty much chuck any combination of LED's or bulbs into the system and it'll work.

Provided you don't exceed the capacity of the system you should be able to chuck all sorts of additional lights into the circuit too. Blackpool Illuminations anyone!

Anybody recommend a relay (and where to get it from?) I've looked at loads on line, but frankly not sure what I'm looking for. Does it matter what wattage it is for LEDs all-round? I've seen 2x23W, 2-pin items, is this right?

Losing the will to live here!!!

Right, a coupkle of months ago I bought some nicer indicators and re-wired them to match the correct wattage, but one's just broken soI'm going to replace all 4 with LEDs.

Aladinsane mentioned 16ohm/10w resistors on each indicator means i can fit LEDs - are these what I need?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BIKINGEAR-MOT ... 3f0ffe8b92

It's all too confusing for my tiny brain.

Hmm 10W resistors - that's not giving much headroom - even though they are not a continuous duty cycle.

Think I'd be inclined to go for either 15R, 20W in parallel with each LED indicator (or if doing both front and rears as LEDs then an alternative to individual resistors per indicator, one 7R5, 35W per side in parallel with front and rear LED indicators would be an alternative)

BTW 15R = 15 ohm, 7R5 = 7.5 ohm

Quick question for the simple minded..

I've decided to go down the 1 resistor per indicator route, but am nervous about the heat damaging the plastics. How should I protect the bike from the heat? Would a thick layer of electrical tape do the job?

Sorry, trying to learn but a bit clueless here!!
