A bit of space in the garage
Excellent and unexpected - I've now got a little bit of space in the garage so I might be able to start working on the CB125 and CB400.
Some of you might remember that more than 6 years ago we acquired an Aprilia sonic scooter for my youngest lad, Joe. (pics etc here: https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.php?t=1268)
Well it's been occupying space in my garage on a SORN for the past 2 and a half years.
Today Joe got a call from someone he used to work with wanting to buy it ... so we got it out, cleaned it off, started it up (yes it started without any real bother despite a flat battery - the benefits of a kick-start), checked it over and off it went in the back of Joe's van.
We felt we couldn't accept what the chap wanted to offer so talked him down to 75% of what he was offering ..... Joe ending up with rather more than we'd have expected if we'd had a bit of a fettle then MOTd it and sold it.
So, Joe's happy and I'm happy to have a bit of space in my garage.
Might as well have a drink to celebrate.
Bar's open!

er not quite Howard .... they are a bit bigger than the space a 50cc scooter has vacated - we still don't have room in there for Daniel's Burgman (though that is longer than a Falco)HowardQ wrote:Space for another Falco then Andy.
Jay will explain why you need another!
Cheers anyway!

Congrats, on the new space.
My garage has shrunk, this is due to the installation of a wall to create a wine cellar (500+ bottles) so now the main bit will just about accommodate a smart car and my hornet along with my tool box.
Bike is staying sorned until next year as I'm incapable of riding it. Then i imagine it'll be part exchanged for a touring bike, hopefully we will be off on a european tour next summer if the shop sells

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
Yup, but not doing anything with it yet, will be next year I think as I have lost my painter who was going to deal with that he's now retired :( I've been told of a good painter in Camberley area though.BikerGran wrote:You still got that 400/4 Gio?
