TBH it's Yamaha that I am disappointed with.
They might have contracts with Jorge and Rossi but we all know how easily they buy people out and tear the contracts up.
The sensible thing would have been to ditch the under-performing Rossi who has walked out on them in the past and is approaching the end of his career and look to the future by employing the quicker rider that wanted to stay with them.
Cal has clearly gone for financial security rather than a bike on which he can achieve podiums. He'll be financially very wealthy but far less likely that his name will go down in history with such prominence ..... unless he can ride that Ducati. He has shown in the past that he can adapt to the bike - another thing Rossi couldn't do - so who knows, he might even manage to perform on a Ducati (though I won't hold my breath)

It's exactly as Paul says, so where did he go, Pol has his Tech 3 bike already. Bradl saved his skin last time out.
Yamaha are too skint to run 5 bikes, (and can't even manage three full works bikes at the moment).
Honda may have been able to run 5 or more bikes, but concentrating fully on the "Production" RC213V bikes, (which look like very good news for MotGP grids).
Which leaves him riding the dead Duck, (sorry Duke)!
He might just do something with it, like another before, (Casey).
The Audi money and technical problem solving ability must help.
Looks bad up front now, but lets wait and see with fingers crossed.
It could just work for him, so keep positive.
I remember that Italian bloke who moved from Honda to Yamaha, (who were a joke at the time), and won first time out!

Well no it can't be really as according to Lin Jarvis they did offer him a contract direct with Yamaha.HowardQ wrote:It's exactly as Paul says, so where did he go, Pol has his Tech 3 bike already.
However they wouldn't offer him a seat in the works team in the near future and the money sounds to have been considerably less than Ducati

Two (who have won on one) - and they are both retired and both AustralianGio wrote:Well I was wrong and stupid Yamaha and an equally stupid Crutchlow. At least he might be able to afford a proper shaver now.
IMO there's only been one rider who could handle the Duck and he's retired.

So when did Bayliss win the motogp titleD-Rider wrote:A 2-stroke Ducati ..... what have you been drinking
Both Stoner and Bayliss have won on the Desmosedici
Sorry for late post but I'm not to good these days and no I don't want to talk about it, sorry

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, but I'm sure that given the fact that Stoner retired as an ex world champion at motogp it would have been a bit obvious.D-Rider wrote:Who said "title" ?
He won a race as a wild-card (he's the only one with a 100% win ratio on the bike!)
