Leaving black lines.

I was informed yesterday that the Falco was leaving black lines coming out of corners.

It is very capable of keeping up with anything modern on the road. Again incredible bike!!

I am going to have to go for a radial brake conversion though, I rode my mates gen 2 Mille and the brakes are fantastic.

Nb forks & calipers to start the radial conversion finish on Ebay uk today!

Leaving black lines on the road is pretty standard isn't it?

I'm not sure how the Falco's brakes would be improved by changing from axial to radial calipers. It only take sone finger on the lever to lift the rear wheel into the air at any speed. How much more do you need?

Its an awesome thing. Next bike is a gen rsvr factory though. Mate has one and its very pretty.

Falco can show it a clean pair of heels though

I have bt 021r fitted. What exactly causes the black lines is it down to my tyres?

The black lines will be bits of rubber as the tyre tries to grip the road perfectly normal when riding at a good pace, you will be on the fine fun line between grip and slip

I have BT023 on my rear but as I am a sad case and generally just go with the misses nobody ever tells me if I am leaving skidmarks

That's what bothers me a little, I really don't want to high side again. It hurts.

Just have to wind it off a little...

I'll change tyres back to pirelli when they wear out. It came with bt 021 and they're brand new.

theres a lot of old discussions about bridgestones on falco's - some have rated them, many have not - they seem to suit in line fours better imho

many rate the pirelli or michelins

I've always ran Dunlop or Pirelli. Never Bridgestone, they're ok but not as nice as the Pirelli corsa or Dunlop qualifier.

I had super corsas on my RS250 they were amazing but can.t see them lasting 5 mins on the falco.!

I have the Rosso Corsas on my BST rims and I like them

(I have Angel STs on my OZ rims - brilliant mileage and good wet weather performance)

My mate has rosso corsa on his mille and he likes them. I'll probably get the same when these wear out.

I have had BT021's fitted to the falco and I rate them. The rear has done nearly 4000 miles and still has life.
I must admit the Pirelli's are better. The BT021's started to strip on the outer edges when I track dayed them. The Pirelli's didn't. They stuck like shit to a blanket.
