Falco flies again - Thanks Guys!

#1 Post by Falco Frank » Thu Jul 04, 2013 9:50 pm

FINALLY, got to ride out tonight after weeks of trials & tribulations - all worth it, I'm glad to report.

Rear Ohlins needs some work setting up but the new front radial forks are SUPERB.

Thanks for all the help from here.

Yea Falcopops - pint of your favourite virtual tipple waiting for you at the bar ;-)

Forks - 2005 RSV-R, I couldnt resist an offer via Ebay for the Forks and calipers.
I already had the yokes, bought in error previously.

Only real faff on has been the radial master and fitting a pressure switch to make the brake light work - works well.
Carbon loraine pads, Tuono hoses, Galfer discs all working sweet!

very nice job

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Still got a belly pan to fit yet and tidy the bottom end up ...

But, another 100 miles reeled off tonight visiting Rievaulx Abbey:

I presume the pheasant couldn't be persuaded to put in an appearance this time? :smt003

Or did it have an earlier encounter with the cooking pot? :smt117 :smt003

LOL - I did look around for some!

I can still remember photo 1, like it was yesterday - quiet midweek ride out, pulled up in the car park and an elderly couple were feeding the birds and a flock of pheasants ran across to chase the others away, with me snapping one in a photo as it shot along!!!

Hi all,

Great mods fitted there, is there much difference in braking? Pity the bird wasn't around again...
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

Hi Greg,

On the radial brakes, I'm still running new pads in so its early days but with an 18mm radial master as well, its a beautiful feel at the bar.

The power feels nice an progressive but I'm still looking for somewhere open & quiet to do a bit of full-on testing.
