Try to establish if you are getting a fuel supply. Sounds like the pump is priming but if one of the injector relay's has died then it will not start.
Under the tank on the LHS is the return line with a Quick Dissconnect coupling, undo this and crank it over, you should get a fair bit of petrol over your hand !
If no fuel in the return line, suspect injector relays, test using an LED test light or NOID light plugged into the injector connecting thingy, you should get a bright constant pulse from the test rig when cranking it over.
Had a similar problem, fuel punk spanked but primed up ok, just would not work under load

Silly question I know but... Have you put any oil in the oil tank?

When I first bought the bike, I noticed it was a little low on oil so I did put some in to bring it to the correct level.

oh oh.....

I think we have our winner

oil in these rotax engines is not like on an inline 4

Please tell me that you did not top up the oil to a mid point on the sight glass on a cold engine?

if so, we know the problem - second one this year

I will wander over today and have a look and I am willing to bet that we will find an airbox full of oil..... clean that out and the bike will start

Read the above, and this popped in to my head. :smt003

Ah ..... another case of RTFM !

Still, should hopefully be an easy one to fix

and ...

that wasn't it

there was some oil, but not enough to cause none starting

we do have spark and we do seem to have fuel pump initiating

what we don't have is fuel getting from the tank to the throttle bodies....

Steve told me that the bike just stopped - no warning - though the fuel light had been on for a couple of days

I suspect that the fuel filter is totally blocked - so on Monday we will have a look at that

Yep - I had been thinking that might be the case but was waiting for a bit more news before suggesting opening the tank and then trying to re-seal it.

It might also be worth remembering the really difficult to track down issue that has affected a few fuel pumps where the internal wiring has broken... That caused huge amounts of head scratching I recall...

Worth mentioning yet again, check for full voltage into and out of fuel pump relay, then check injector relays, the input side of the injector relays are silver coloured, the output copper coloured, with a proven voltage, the injector relay should instantly switch to full voltage to the output side, and, there are no surplus connectors under the LHS tail unit where the relays hide.
