Whilst the bike is still in bits awaiting ht leads is there anyway of removing the front sprocket without splitting the chain?

Yes - undo the bolt and pull it off

Get the rear wheel as far forward on the adjusters as poss, or even remove the rear wheel, sprocket will be more than happy to come off, prob solved! :smt004

No matter how much I bleed the clutch it won't fully disengage.

Is this also a symptom of a leaking slave cylinder?

The slave cylinder will weep fluid pass the seals. Remove it from the bike and look. :smt002

Also, has it got aftermarket levers. I remember someone (D-Rider probably...) saying something about the pin in the lever not being set right, an therefore doesn't travel far enough to disengage the clutch. But, if it was working before and you haven't changed the levers, then it's probably not this

Is the level going down in the reservoir?

If not you've probably still got air in there. If it's going down, you've probably got a leaking seal.

Can't beat having a bleed nipple at the master cylinder end to get the air out.

Standard levers. It just drags when I roll tge wheel by hand. It moves but its not fully disengaging.

Not at all. Has a few problems to sort, it's to be expected of a bike of its age.

Most likely wants bleeding again. It weeps a little and I'll probably get a new slave.

It's tge problem with shite weather. Too much time tinkering not enough riding.

You're right, there won't be much wrong with it. These bikes are pretty bulletproof. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm sure I will thanks. Just waiting for some decent weather.

After a search on here and AF1 it appears that the clutch drag issue is really common when cold?

HT leads are here today so I can get those on and the airbox etc back on :smt001
