They're a big old bus as standard and not especially quick. There are certain things that can be done to make them more punchy, but not being able to play with the gearing (with any ease) is a pain. The 16 valve version (which this is) has more grunt. Certainly looks the part.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
Well while we're talking bikes on ebay .... I spotted these today.
Not sure the mrs would be too impressed if I were to invest in this little bunch ....

I think the price on the Vincent is way too much.D-Rider wrote:Well while we're talking bikes on ebay .... I spotted these today.

My old boss bought a 1951 black shadow for 17K seven years ago. He thinks its worth 60K now. It is a very clean bike.
I have been looking at some of the 70's bikes on Ebay. Whilst looking at stuff for a project bike. It makes me wonder how the dealers actually sell their stock with what they are asking pricewise.

It's not an actual price Jay - just an auction guide price (and a rather optimistic one)
However makes you think that the one in bits would be a good buy if it were all there and you put it together - nice bike and worth a lot more.
I guess the initial investment is not so different to many new top-end bikes these days .... but still a lot of money
