My Oasis Green Falco for sale

#1 Post by wayofthedarkhand » Thu May 16, 2013 8:28 pm

The time has come.

I use the bike infrequently and when I do it's for journeys on poor roads, and requiring more range than the Falco can deliver.

It's been a blast, despite a few hiccups along the way.

Unfortunately with it being a category c, and with Falco prices all over the place, I'm not sure how to price it. Which is why it's been left to motorcycle auction, with no reserve.

All the best,

Carl

Liking the 9976 cc engine! :D

If i wasn't about to spend all my money on a house, i would have considered bidding. Always loved the oasis green colour.

Good luck selling, it, and i hope you stick around!

Dale

put a reserve on it

at least 1500

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Why not just agree a price with Jay, (Blinkey501) ??
He hasn't bought a Falco for some weeks now, so he'll be chomping at the bit.

The thought had crossed my mind Howard...... Nah only joking.
Being going to leverton has made me fancy something else. Something Retro. :smt003

I'll be on the look out for a dual sport type bike. Probably something with a smaller capacity to try and keep the weight down.

I've got a lot of grand adventures that i'm working to towards.

It's generating a lot of interest on ebay at the moment, though it's a shame that Falcos are undervalued.

It seems to have that effect on most people, I have been fancying a Thunderbird Sport for a few years now, the one with 2 exhausts to one side, (usually in Yellow).
And yes , there is one that regularly goes to Leverton.
I first thought about one before I got the Kwack, more than three years ago, trouble is they are still fetching the same price, or more, now.
Trouble is the other older half of me, (if that's possible), keeps fancying a Moto Guzzi Norge!

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I wish my compensation would pay up NOW !
Nice bike for the bucks, hope you get a good price. remember you can always withdraw the bike after a winning bid if it suffers ' starting or running problems'
Think you may have sold yourself a bit short there mate

Well we'll see how it goes on Sunday.

The listing was a bit of a rush last Thursday but I keen to start the process.

I always make a point of pointing out all the bad bits, it I put people off, that's great. They're probably the ones who shouldn't be buying it.

It doesn't owe me anything so I'm comfortable with the market setting the price. Though the funds will go toward my next bike which is looking like a 650 vstrom due to its tank range, touring bias, and 19inch front wheel for gravel.

The girlfriend is upset.

To me that sounds like a recipe for disaster....
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Sold for £1,550 and was picked up yesterday, and is now living in Suffolk.

I think that it's a fair enough price, and the buyer has got a lot of bike for the money.

I'll still cast an eye around these parts.
