Anyone going there in a van. I will be riding there but i was wondering if someone had a van if i could leave some bits and bobs there.
Just a small rucksack. I was going to take the mirrors off and tape up the lights, then a bit off food and drink. Also a tyre pressure guage.

Does anyone know how many psi you should drop for going on the track.

Ben
I've been told that about 30 front 32 rear on the Falco, on my Blackbird I used to run 27 and 30, but I think it also depends on what track you are.

ScottNi - it's Fri 18th May. Last count was:

Me
Nooj (plus his lady)
Pierre (plus his pals)
Duke.

Should be a great day - lets pray for dry weather.

For those not been to Cadwell before - Decent food in the clubhouse and a reasonable price. Closest petrol is about 1 mile (turn left out of the circuit). Small garage but doesn't take cards so bring some cash.

lots of different opinions on the tyre pressures.

before i done my trackday there was a thread about the pressures. it said that there is no need to drop the pressures, it came from a tyre guy.

i was going to drop 2 psi front and rear but in the end i didn't bother, it never held me back!!!

in the end it's up to yourselves.

ENJOY, i know i did.
if you can't ride it....
OR take it too bed...

IT AIN'T WORTH HAVIN...

Tested the DB of my bike with mates meter borrowed from work.
102DB measured at 500mm from exhaust at 5000rpm.
It is meant to be calibrated to 110DB so should be an accurate reading.
This was on a pair of ART cans with no baffles and vurtually no packing left inside.
So i will be turning up at cadwell with these on. I'm taking the risk but i'll leave it up to you lot to do whatever you want.
I don't want to be held responsable for anyone being turned away but if the reading is correct you should be ok.

Does anyone know the difference between Pirelli diablo corsas and corsa 111's. I need some new tyres and am thingking of a pair of either of these.
I think the new corsa 111's are dual compound so might be better for road use as well as track but I'm not totally sure.

I'm taking my standard pipes down so I might aswell chuck the other pair of standard ones in the car incase any of you with highly illegal :smt018 pipes get stopped.

In return - if anyone has any spare levers , stick them in a bag cos I dont have any. I'll also be taking a spare set of wheels, discs and a right side radiator :smt016

I think the Corsa III are triple compound with ultra sticky edges for increased confidence at silly angles. Try here...

The Corsa III is like a sticky version of the BT020, harder compound on the centre, softer compound on the sides. Bit cheeky calling it a "3 zone compound" as two of the zones (on either edge) are the same compound.

Right chaps (and chapesses) I'm off to Menorca for a week so will catch up on this thread a couple of days before we go to Cadwell.

Looking forward to seeing you all - I'll be riding there in the morning arriving about 7.45 - 8am.

Oil change, 15t sprocket and new tyres and i'll be ready.

Oh and fix the leaking LH rad (coolant weeping out where steel bracket is rivetted to the alu rad).

Long range weather forcast looks a bit iffy. Would be so disappointed if it's spoiled by rain.

Can't wait though i've done hundreds of laps in my head now thinking about it.

Ordered a bolt from HEL, they said they'd send it out first class today. I trust them to send it out, but I don't trust the royal snail to deliver it.

Hope Croft isn't too soggy.
