The importance of tightness
So you line up your overtake. Nothing in front or behind. Decide to drop down one to be sure. And the gear lever thing is dangling sadly like a sad dangly thing. So it looks like I'll be banging all the nuts and bolts this weekend to make sure they make the right noises.

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

It's got rear sets on, it came apart on the adjustable bar between the rose joints which is the only bit without threadlock or nyloc nuts on...joecrx wrote:sound like the wee ball joints on the gear lever have came out , like mine they need replacing ,
It tipped over last year and bent the footrest bolt but I didn't check that bit when I slapped it back together. Must have loosened a lock nut.

The ball joint on the back of my gear level worked itself loose last year, fortunately in town so low speed. A bit fiddly to put back in without taking the pegs off, but doable at the side of the road with the Aprilia tool kit.joecrx wrote:sound like the wee ball joints on the gear lever have came out ,
like mine they need replacing , but i got my bike a 12000 miles and have always been the same so i havent noticed any difference ,thought they were slak / lose as a matter if desighn
