#1 Post by slickliner6 » Tue Apr 02, 2013 5:09 pm

as the title suggests i'm after a tent (yes a camping tent.titter titter).
Preferably 8 man(or bigger considered) or a BIG 6 man.

Must be in good condition and with a sewn in groundsheet.

Cheers all

i think that they have an 8 man version at the norwich longwater branch.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Try one of the go outdoors stores www.gooutdoors.co.uk

Not sure what the quality is like as I'm not a camping man, but they quite often have them erect (snigger snigger) in the shops so you can have a good look and try out their erections
Pass me a hammer, a spanner and a cuppa

Vango tunnel tent 800 or something I've got. Sewn in ground sheet and a not bad sized drinking area... No bar though... Only five main poles to erect.

Edit - vango tigris 800

Hahaha... Funny that... It's yet to be used! Got it and was then battered by rain so didn't get a chance to use it. Did do alot of reading on it though and have seen similar vango ones up and they look good. They also have extra support straps you clip together in the case of high winds. I bought the zigzag type pegs for it though as tunnel tents require the guy lines to stay u...Flip side is its only 5 poles I think. Large dome tents can be a nightmare to put up.

.... but there may be little headroom as I hear they have a very short pole.
