Latest 'fix'

#31 Post by k1w1boy » Thu Feb 21, 2013 7:12 pm

Data tool - my alarm -interesting. However against my better judgement got bike picked up by some Aprilia experts in north london and spent £400+ on their latest investigation: bottom line - stuffed cooling fan causing dash resets and replaced; further (see last years expensive investigation) revealed further stuffed wiring reducing charge rate. After a day in the freeze dash showing best batt level since I owned it - with no new battery. Will see what it's like after a short commuter and a day in the cold tomorrow. Hope spring eternsl etc

Good luck Kerry.
I really hope you've got it sorted this time.
Fingers crossed.

Optimistically ...

#35 Post by k1w1boy » Fri Mar 01, 2013 5:58 pm

.... After a week of short commuting, trips to shops, stops and starts with few miles in between, and 9-11 hour working days left in the cold and damp... and ... no dash resets! Instant starts! Clock battery readings of 13.8-14.4 on turnover! Could it actually be finally sorted?! :smt007
