Andy's is always uppity after the holidays - he'll soon be back to normal - just as soon as the horlicks kicks in....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Belated.. been busy.
Cleaning Ti with Autosol? WTF!!?? or are you on about the Stainless?
Ti gets washed, gone over with a chalky rag at best to get rid of oily fingerprints..

I think you may just be able to tell the difference in weight between titanium and stainless ..............
That said, I bought some hi-level shotties from a chap from another forum - he said they were titanium but as soon as mr postman dropped them off I knew they were stainless - no matter.

Rene Stainless and Ti are noticeably different in finish
Til people start polishing them
Taking the end cap off will highlight unpolished Ti.

I have only seen the stainless Renegades.
May have seen the titanium cans at sometime but not close up.
I clean my titanium cans with brake cleaner if they get a bit crappy, (as advised by Beowulf), never used anything else other than soap and water in normal cleaning.

Indeed.
Clean down with soapy water if crudded, then take off any greasy, oily pawprints with a chalky cloth.

Given the option of spending the day with the hormonal 11 year old step daughter and her friends or fettling..... The bike won
So
Fork refitted, front wheel in brake calipers on. Under tray for the front end noted to be grubby so that went into the dish washer....
Swing arm fitted.... A new to me one btw, exhaust mid section back on, rear down pipe tightened - that's a bastard btw - get a UJ adapter for a small socket set
And yes you do have to take the front sprocket off to get the chain round!
Ohlins refitted and all suspension bearings checked, greased etc
Rear brake had new pads fitted
New paddock stand spindles fitted as the old ones were looking far too not black
So - rear wheel left to fit and then the bike is mechanically ready
BUT - the panels are off for some work..... New indicators etc....
Was a good couple of hours work :)

I blame the stupid bastard who ordered a chain that's too bastard short.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

The chain came on a swing arm - was not ordered....
Will split it and put my original on
And the bike it came from had altered gearing, hence it being too short

Then you misled me by saying 'new chain'.
