Colours

#1 Post by blinkey501 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 7:27 am

Well i have been busy rubbing down the panels on the blue bike ready for paint.
One of the side panels on the blue bike has had to be scrapped, has i can imagine that this panel took the brunt when some little sh*t pushed the bike over when kerry owned it!
I have a plan for the bike with the front mud guard/belly pan/ and hugger. But i am not sure on the colour on the rest of the bike.
Sally my wife has suggested a colour but i am not sure if it is a bit too "In your face"
If you can imagine the lower part of the bike in carbon and the rest in a lighter colour?
Suggestions??? Anything but white. :smt002

How about something a bit more stealth like - graphite, gunmetal or tungsten grey metallic. Often thought the falco would look good in a really deep/dark cherry red metallic.

What colour is the frame - black, or polished ally?
It flies sideways through time

Ally mart.
I also thought about the electric orange.
Sally likes the venom green on the scirrocco

purple has been suggested from the early z650 kawasaki.
A couple of nice blue's.
The problem is the more i look the more i become baffled.
I even like a yellow coulour!

You could go for a Thunderbirds inspired theme .............................

I suggested purple too jay as it would match his helmet

I also suggested a carbon fibre wrap..... Sure piss the mille boys off

( though some of us here have seen a virtually complete CF falco.....)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I was thinking of carbon fibre wrap for everything on mine but all the stuff iv seen done is a satin finish and it just looks obvious its not carbon and only vynal
and tbh as I paint cars for a living the thought of giving someone else a big chunk of my cash to decorate my bike stuck in my throat so I decided to leave it silver and spend the money on some new exhausts :smt003
