Poor Running
I have recently bought a 2001 Falco. It has Sl cans and chip. It ran like a bag of sh1t on way back then cleared and ran fine for 3 days. Then the clutch went on a 70 mile journey, leaking seal, air in line.
Then it wouldn't start and when it eventual did would not idle and intermittently lost power.
Happily I have sorted the clutch.
I have checked plugs, gapped and cleaned them, charged the battery, and the bike starts fine and idles well. However, I have very little power, I managed the sum of 75mph this morning and it would go no faster.
Idles perfectly but just no power.
Any suggestions welcome.

by chance, was the bike stood for a while?
if so, try some redex or similar - also consider contaminated fuel..... check the drains on the outer tank surround in case you have water swilling around there
check and clean the air filter
ensure that all the HT leads and coil connecters are snug
is there an alarm fitted?
check the right hand engine off switch - clean it as needed....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hmm only 75 - well that's not right.
When it's running, is it actually running on both cylinders?
occasionally when mine has been badly in need of servicing it has chosen to run on one and is very much down on power (for obvious reasons).
If that is the case then we need to start to investigate why .....

May be worth checking the vacuum pipes, a leak there can give similar problems, also try 2 new plugs, even if you are getting a big fat spark with the plug out, if they're getting tired they can fail to spark under load (fitted ).
Falco has 4 plugs, try the lower ones, would be odd for all of em to die at same time

Hi all,
Check your vacuum pipe on the TB's, mine was loose, looked ok, till I wiggled it
Got some super stuff and cleaned and sealed it. Now like a scalded cat with new boots on
