Engine codes

Just purchased a spare engine and i have tried to look up on te search facility to see if there is any codes that can verify the year and type,ie big valve etc.
Unfortunatly typing in engine codes does not bring anything up.
Is there anything about the above mentioned in the technical section oh great oracles :smt002
Tolerance will be our undoing.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I suggest you have a look through the engine manual. If you've not done so already. download it from Martin Poll's website.
