For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

From the looks of the photo's the only big issue will be getting a straight front fairing stay, hopefully the rear subframe is straight or straightenable, although these tend to be easier to lay hands on than the front.

I've got a few bits that would help, but you'll probably be able to find them closer to home.

Streetfightering is always an option

Has soon has the bike went down geoff the tilt switch would have stopped the engine before any oil leaked out, so i would not think there would be any engine issues just find the leak and replace the pipe/cover.
You did say you wanted a project bike and wanted to learn more about the falco, a top fairing braket that is straight would be the biggest issue.
I have a spare fairing and a black rear end so if you bought it back off the insurance at least that would be a start.
Did the headstock to frame stay intact ok?
And is the frame ok where the crash bungs are bolted?
Tolerance will be our undoing.

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't written off by the insurance company, but be sure to buy it back, I've done so on 3 occasions and had the bike up and running again, for very little cost, pretty much got a free bike each time with other payouts for injuries etc.

Looks like you took more knocks than the bike, which looked vv tidy before BMW intervention.
Best of luck, hope you are both restored to former glory, quicktime
