Converting RAR to pdf

#1 Post by fatboy » Sun Oct 21, 2012 6:27 pm

Hi all,
once agian Im showing my lack of knowledge, I downloaded the V990 manual via Nooj's link and its an RAR file, Adobe cant read it and want £65 for the download conversion, which I think is ouch as I'll only need it once.
I have the martinpoll sl1000 download manual but find this difficult to use, cant click on a specific chapter, much scrolling through too many pages.
Any ideas ?
Paul

You need to extract the files with something like winRAR or some such name then you will see the files actual format. There are plenty of good free file converters out there.

Sorry am on the phone or would send you some links but try 7zip can't recall if it does RAR or freefileconverter off somewhere like download.com

HTH a bit :)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

If you've downloaded the OCR version from Martin Poll's website, it's fully searchable and pretty easy to use.

(I've printed it out too)

Thanks Aladin, downloaded WinRAR trial.
D-Rider, I guess I dont got the OCR version, not searchable, cant read Sec 4 without scrolling through Sec 1,2,3
When I eventually find a photo I need to look at the resolution is terrible, then have to scroll down many pages of text to find text relevant to the photo, then scroll up many pages to re view ect ect
